Job summary

Winner Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a SEN school in the Oldbury area of Sandwell. The role starts from September on a long-term, full-time basis.

The successful candidate will have prior SEN experience and be comfortable working with KS3, KS4 and KS5 age groups. Key duties include 1:1 support for pupils with severe SEN, assisting with phonics and lesson prep, adapting materials to individual learners, and contributing to pupil progress reports.

Qualifications

  • Previous SEN experience

  • A minimum Level 3 TA qualification
  • Used various communication methods
  • A strong understanding of Autism and Complex needs

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will have previous SEN experience, and experience in working with KS3, 4 and 5 age groups.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with severe SEN requirements
  • Assist the main class teacher in lesson preparation and delivering phonics
  • Tailor learning materials to the requirement of individual learners
  • Assist with pupil progress reports
  • Liaise with outside agencies when required
