Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier by agreement)

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism and complex needs?
Do you want to work in a setting where every day offers the chance to make a meaningful difference?

We are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a leading independent day school that provides specialist education for pupils aged 5 to 19 with:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Learning Disabilities
- Behaviours that challenge, often associated with their diagnoses
- Complex communication and sensory needs

About the Role:
This is a rewarding and hands-on role, ideal for someone who is resilient, compassionate, and committed to helping students reach their full potential. You will support teaching and therapy teams to create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment that meets the individual needs of each pupil.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support across a broad and personalised curriculum
- Supporting pupils with daily routines, emotional regulation, and behaviour management
- Promoting independence and life skills alongside academic learning
- Assisting with communication strategies including AAC, PECS, Makaton, and other visual supports
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Keeping accurate records and contributing to individual progress reviews and education plans

What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities (in education, care or health settings)
- A calm, proactive and patient approach to supporting behaviours that challenge
- Confidence in using structured behaviour and communication strategies (training will be provided)
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in education, health, or social care (or willingness to work towards one)
