Job description

Are you a passionate, organised, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role? We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join a fantastic primary school in the London Borough of Ealing, starting as soon as possible, with the position continuing into the new academic year this September.



About the Role:

This is a varied and fulfilling role working across both the school's mainstream building and dedicated SEN Unit, supporting children with a range of additional needs. You'll play a vital part in helping pupils access learning, manage routines, and reach their full potential in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support for children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism

  • Assist with phonics-based learning and literacy interventions

  • Use creative, engaging resources and activities to enhance learning

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports

  • Support classroom organisation and behaviour management

  • Use strong IT skills to support learning and maintain records

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies across both the mainstream and SEN settings



We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, including autism

  • Strong phonics knowledge and experience

  • Confident using computers and educational technology

  • Creative, resourceful, and flexible in approach

  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills

  • A proactive, positive, and nurturing attitude towards supporting children's development
