Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Tadworth is recruiting Specialist Teaching Assistants to support children aged 2-19 with PMLD and other complex needs in a respected SEN school.

You will work alongside teachers and therapists to implement personalised learning plans, assist with personal care, and help foster communication and independence in a safe, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD or complex SEN.
  • Confident providing personal care and supporting pupils with physical and medical needs.
  • Classroom-based SEN experience is highly desirable.
  • Calm, patient and compassionate approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children and young people with complex additional needs?

We're recruiting Specialist Teaching Assistants to join a highly respected SEN school in Tadworth, supporting pupils aged 2-19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), acquired brain injuries, brain tumours and complex medical needs.

The Role
  • Support pupils with PMLD and a wide range of complex physical, medical and learning needs.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility and daily living activities where required.
  • Encourage communication, engagement and independence through tailored support.
  • Work alongside teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals to deliver individual learning programmes.
