Job summary

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with schools in Walsall, providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs in a supportive and inclusive environment. As a SEN TA, you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop essential skills.

The role includes safeguarding obligations and DBS checks, with daily pay between £95-£110

Qualifications

  • Experience with children or young people with SEN desirable.

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with schools in Walsall, providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs in a supportive and inclusive environment.

As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop essential skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEN.
  • Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and completing tasks.
  • Support the teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) where required.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to support student progress.
Requirements of SEN TA
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
