Job summary

Academics is partnering with an Outstanding Specialist College in Uxbridge to recruit a PMLD Specialist Teaching Assistant. The role supports learners with complex needs, including PMLD, to access engaging learning activities and develop independence.

You will work with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans and adapt resources, monitor progress, and ensure safety of materials. The position requires compassionate, team-oriented collaboration and a commuting distance to Uxbridge.

PMLD Specialist Teaching Assistant - Uxbridge

The college caters to learners with diverse needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), complex communication needs, behavioural challenges, and specific medical conditions. Each learner follows a personalised learning programme designed to support their individual goals, encourage independence, and help them engage more fully with their community.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with PMLD experience to join a supportive and committed team. In this role, you will work closely with teaching staff to support the delivery of engaging, inclusive learning activities, tailored to meet both individual and group needs. You will play a key part in helping students access learning and develop independence.

Key Responsibilities:
