Job Title: Teaching Assistant

This 'Outstanding' Primary and Secondary SEND school, based in South Tyneside, is looking to appoint an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with a small class size of 9 students.
2. Provide 1-to-1 support to pupils on a full-time basis.
3. Assist in the education of pupils with SEND, including Autism, MLD, SLD, ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties, and Speech and Language Difficulties.

Position Details:

• Full-time role for the entire academic year starting September.
• Potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working with non-verbal children/young people and use of PECS is desirable.
• Positive behaviour management training (e.g., PRICE, Team Teach, MAPA) is desirable but not essential.
