Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN- ASC/ADHD)

Location: Sunderland Area

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Job Description: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with autism and physical disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the educational and social development of students.
  • Providing one-on-one support to children with special educational needs.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
  • Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials to meet the needs of each student.
  • Supporting students in developing social skills and managing their behavior.
  • Helping with personal care tasks as needed.
  • Utilizing our school's hydropool to support the physical and sensory needs of disabled children.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with autism and ADHD is essential. This can include personal experience.
  • Experience in a school or nursery setting is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Nursery Nurse qualification is also preferred.

Additional Information:

  • You will be part of a team supporting reduced classes, with 6-8 children per class.
  • We offer extensive in-house training and free online training through our learning platform.
