Job summary

Academics in Slough is seeking an SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant to support a student or small group, delivering targeted interventions and adapting lessons to individual learning styles. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, with a competitive daily rate of £90–£95. You’ll work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to promote inclusion and student growth.

Key Responsibilities of an SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant:

• Targeted Intervention: Deliver one-to-one or small group support tailored to the students' specific needs-whether they are related to learning, social development, or behaviour.
• Lesson Adaptation: Assist in planning and delivering lessons or activities that are accessible, engaging, and adapted to each student's individual learning style and pace.
• Monitoring & Feedback: Track students' progress and regularly share observations with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure effective support is in place.
• Emotional Support: Create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages emotional resilience, confidence, and independence.
• Collaborative Support: Work as part of a wider team-including teaching staff, SENCO, and parents-to implement consistent strategies that promote development and inclusion.
• Competitive Daily Rate: £90-£95 per day
• Location: Slough
• Schedule: Full time - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
