This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive specialist setting and make a genuine difference to the lives and education of children and young people with additional needs.
The school is a specialist SEN school in Nottingham, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school provides a therapeutic, nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils are supported to develop their confidence, independence, resilience and social skills. Through personalised learning programmes and a stimulating curriculum, the school aims to equip pupils with the skills they need to achieve positive outcomes both inside and beyond the classroom.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to pupils. You may work on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping pupils to access learning, manage their emotions, develop social skills and engage positively with school life.
This role would be particularly well suited to a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Autism Support Assistant with previous experience working in a specialist SEN or school setting.
