Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Newport is seeking an experienced Sen Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a specialist ALN setting. You will work on a full-time, temporary basis, delivering sensory-based activities and promoting independence for students across KS3/KS4.

The role requires prior ASD experience, a relevant TA qualification, and strong communication skills. The position offers on-site work with ongoing CPD and a supportive onboarding process.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist ALN school based in Newport, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional learning needs. The school focuses on providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment, helping pupils develop their communication, confidence and independence through sensory learning and practical life skills.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long‑term supply basis, starting immediately. The successful ASD Teaching Assistant will work with pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, supporting individual learning needs, delivering sensory‑based activities and helping pupils develop essential independent living skills.

Required qualifications and experience
