Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting an ASD Teaching Assistant for a specialist ALN school in Caerphilly. This full-time, temporary long-term role supports pupils aged 3 to 19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ALN.

The successful candidate will manage challenging behaviour, collaborate with teaching staff, and foster trusting relationships to promote confidence, independence, and social skills. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience desirable.
• Experience supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD and additional learning needs / ALN.
• Experience managing challenging behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant
Location: Caerphilly
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £92 - £95 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist ALN school based in Caerphilly, supporting children and young people aged 3 to 19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD and additional learning needs. The school provides a supportive learning environment focused on helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant on a full-time, temporary long-term basis through TeacherActive, with an immediate start available. The successful ASD Teaching Assistant will support pupils with autism / ASD and challenging behaviour, working closely with teaching staff to encourage positive engagement, manage behaviour effectively and build trusting relationships with pupils.

The successful ASD Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
