UCM Education is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties in Merton. The role sits within a multidisciplinary environment where education, therapy and personalised support are integrated into daily learning experiences.

The school supports pupils aged 3–19 with complex SEND, using approaches such as PECS and Intensive Interaction, with integrated speech and language, occupational and physiotherapy. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children.
• Interest or experience supporting pupils with complex needs (e.g. autism, SLD, PMLD).
• A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach.
• Confidence supporting communication and sensory-based learning.

Role Overview

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location: Merton
• Type: Full-time, long-term
• Salary: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
• Eligibility: Open to graduates and experienced Teaching Assistants
