Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school in London. You will support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, assist classroom activities, and help pupils with additional and complex needs to access learning and develop social skills.

The ideal candidate will have SEN experience, a patient and nurturing approach, and strong communication and teamwork skills to support pupils and collaborate with staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children with SEN
• A patient, nurturing and encouraging approach
• Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to remain calm and consistent
• A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
• Experience with autism, complex needs, communication difficulties or challenging behaviour would be highly desirable

We are currently recruiting for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary SEN school in Merton.

The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils with a range of additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to help pupils access learning and develop both academically and socially.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN TA, LSA or someone with a strong background working with children with additional needs.

The role will involve:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
