Base pay range

Daily Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

Elevate Supply is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Manchester to recruit a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant. The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs—including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs—across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You’ll be providing targeted one-to-one and small group support, helping students access the curriculum and build confidence in a nurturing school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
Work collaboratively with class teachers and the school SENCO to deliver tailored interventions
Support students in and out of the classroom to promote inclusion and engagement
Monitor and track progress, behaviour, and engagement, contributing to pupil reviews
Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment that encourages learning

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in mainstream or specialist settings)
A calm, patient approach with a genuine interest in supporting individual pupil needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to take part in professional development and school-based training
Full-time availability from after the Easter half-term
