Job summary

Engage Education in London is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Hackney primary school. You will support pupils 1:1 or in small groups, assist with differentiated activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.

The role focuses on pupils with SEN and requires patience and dedication. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff within a supportive team, contributing to pupil wellbeing and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school or educational setting.
• Level 2 or 3 TA qualification preferred.
• Patience, adaptability and a genuine passion for helping children.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.

SEN Teaching Assistant – Hackney

Pay:£95 per day
Contract:Full Time

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Hackney. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the learning and development of pupils with additional needs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access the curriculum
• Assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities and interventions
• Helping create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
• Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs as part of a structured SEN programme

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school or educational setting
• Level 2 or 3 TA qualification preferred
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
