SEN Teaching Assistant | 1:1 Support for Pupil with ASD | GBP80-GBP100 Per Day | Waltham Forest

Reeson Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a welcoming primary school located in the borough of Waltham Forest. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child's learning journey.

Role Highlights for an SEN Teaching Assistant:

1. Daily Rate: GBP80-GBP100, dependent on experience.
2. Start Date: Immediate or flexible to suit availability.
3. Location: Supportive and inclusive schools across Waltham Forest.

Your Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

1. Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD, ensuring their individual needs are met.
2. Assist in implementing the pupil's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
3. Foster a positive and nurturing environment to help the pupil engage in learning and develop social skills.
4. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistency in support.
5. Employ patience and creativity to manage behaviour and promote inclusion.

What We're Looking for in an SEN Teaching Assistant:

1. Previous experience working with children with ASD or other SEN needs is essential.
2. A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
3. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with school staff and parents.
4. Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 in Childcare or SEN-specific training, are advantageous but not required.
