Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Ongoing position

London borough of Newham

£97 - £115 per day

Social, emotional & cognitive support for students with various SEMH-related needs

Day-to-day responsibilities as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
  • Supporting students in developing their social, emotional, and cognitive skills
  • Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider community professionals (e.g., Educational Psychologist) to ensure students are on track
  • Supporting the team in creating a progressive and welcoming learning environment
  • Working with students across various year groups with learning disabilities (Autism, ADHD) and mental health needs
