Job description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Special Needs School in Lambeth. This rewarding role involves supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), helping them access a personalised curriculum in a nurturing environment.

Support students aged 4-19 with a range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and communication challenges.

Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide a safe and engaging learning experience.

Assist with personal care, mobility, and feeding where required.

Use specialist resources, including communication aids and sensory tools.

Promote independence, emotional well-being, and social interaction.

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly PMLD, is highly desirable.

A patient, caring, and resilient approach.

Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Willingness to assist with personal care and physical needs.

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
