Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting on the Wirral. The role involves supporting pupils with complex needs and providing personal care when required, in a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP.

You will work with pupils who have Autism, SLD and MLD, helping them participate in learning, communicate, and become more independent within a supportive school team.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN, care, support work, residential care, youth work or similar environments.
• Strong transferable experience supporting individuals with additional or complex needs.
• Willingness to get involved and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

SEN Teaching Assistant - Wirral

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist setting on the Wirral.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys making a genuine difference to pupils with additional needs and wants the security of a full-time, long-term role rather than short-term day-to-day work.

You will be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). The role will involve helping pupils to engage with learning, develop communication and independence, regulate emotions and get the most from their school day.

Some pupils require additional physical and personal support, so personal care may form part of the role.

The role:

• Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position
