Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a patient and committed Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND setting on the Wirral. You will work closely with staff to support pupils with learning, communication and engagement throughout the school day, including those with autism and other needs.

The role is full-time and long-term, with opportunities to build specialist SEN experience within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children/young people with SEND.
• Calm, reliable, adaptable and confident building relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1, in small groups and in the classroom.
• Assist pupils with learning, communication, emotional regulation, independence and engagement.
• Support pupils with autism and additional needs and help access lessons.

The role will involve working with pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism and associated communication and learning needs.You may support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and within the classroom, helping them access lessons, build confidence and develop important academic and life skills.
