We are looking for enthusiastic and capable Teaching Assistants to support the educational and personal care needs of pupils at Saxon Hill Academy. A successful candidate will have a positive attitude, initiative, and experience working with children with special needs, particularly in physical disability, sensory, complex medical, and communication difficulties.
You should be energetic, enthusiastic, eager to learn, and flexible to work across various school departments supporting students aged 2–19 years with diverse learning and care needs. The role requires a pupil-focused approach, supporting students with care and mutual respect.
Experience supporting pupils with complex communication needs and/or implementing positive behaviour interventions is especially desirable. Proven success working with vulnerable children and/or adults in educational, health, or care settings, along with excellent communication skills, are essential. Experience with Autism, Makaton, or BSL would be advantageous.

32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45 am – 3:45 pm
Term time only plus 1 week inset, totaling 39 weeks
