Job summary

Academics in Huddersfield is urgently seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil currently working within the Year 1 curriculum. The role involves individualised support with learning and helping the pupil access the curriculum at an appropriate level.

You will work closely with the class teacher and school team to encourage confidence, independence and engagement, while safely assisting movement around the school, including stairs and uneven surfaces.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN/additional needs.
• A patient, caring and nurturing approach.
• Confidence supporting a child with learning and/or physical needs.
• Ability to build a strong, positive relationship with the pupil.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with teaching staff.

URGENTLY REQUIRED - SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT

Full-Time | Year 3 | Huddersfield Primary School

A welcoming primary school in Huddersfield is urgently seeking a caring, experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a new pupil joining the school.

The successful candidate will provide individualised support to a Year 3 pupil who is currently working within the Year 1 curriculum and requires additional support with both his learning and physical access around school.

The pupil has additional needs which are currently being assessed. He requires support with his learning and may also need assistance with movement around the school, particularly when navigating stairs and uneven surfaces.

The Role

You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to:

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:
