Job summary

Jobs4 is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with SEMH needs in a specialist educational setting in Horsham. The role offers a temp-to-perm pathway and a starting salary of £27,500 per year, with ASAP start.

You will work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to promote emotional wellbeing, engagement and progress throughout the school day, building calm, trusting relationships and contributing to an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Calm, patient and resilient.
• Nurturing and relationship-focused approach.
• Confidently supports pupils with SEMH needs.
• Experience in education, care, residential care, youth work or support work (desirable).

We are recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a specialist educational setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is patient, nurturing and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning. You will play a vital role in supporting the pupil's emotional wellbeing, engagement and educational progress throughout the school day.

The Role
