Job summary

Reed is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 7 student in a specialist educational setting in Hailsham. This long-term supply role runs for the full academic year, with daily hours from 8:15am to 3:15pm.

You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure the pupil accesses learning, builds confidence, and makes progress. A supportive team environment and DBS checks are standard for this placement.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience within education, youth work, care, residential, or support settings (desirable).

Responsibilities

Support a Young Person to Succeed

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 7 student within a specialist educational setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a young person who requires additional support with their learning, confidence, and engagement in the classroom.

The role will be based within a full class environment, working alongside teaching staff to ensure the pupil can access learning and make positive progress throughout the academic year.

The Role

You will:
