Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Hastings are seeking caring Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs in local schools across Hastings and surrounding areas.

You will work with children with Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs or learning difficulties, helping them access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential. Prior experience in care, education or youth work is valued.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people in school, care, support work or similar setting.
  • Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Understanding of the challenges some children face in education.
  • Good communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
  • Genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs in schools across Hastings and surrounding areas.
  • Help pupils access learning, build confidence and reach their potential.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement individual needs plans.

Teaching Personnel are looking for caring, patient and reliable Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs in schools across Hastings and the surrounding areas.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children who may have Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH needs or learning difficulties, helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
