Job summary

GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work with pupils needing additional behavioural, emotional, and social support in Telford.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with programmes for ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties, and help maintain a safe, positive classroom environment in renowned schools. This is a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP with daily pay rates of £95-£120.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND is desirable.
• Supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

• Help maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in schools, youth work, care, sports coaching, mentoring, or support work.
• Understandingbehaviour management techniques.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Calm, empathetic, and professional approach.
• Relevant qualifications in Education, Childcare, Psychology or Health and Social Care are desirable but not essential.
