Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support secondary students across Telford. You will work in welcoming schools, helping students reach their full potential both academically and personally.

We offer weekly pay and flexible opportunities, including full-time, part-time and long-term roles, with support from a dedicated education consultant throughout placements in Staffordshire and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with various needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language).
• Adapt activities to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement in the classroom.
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Implement strategies from EHCPs where appropriate.
• Collaborate with SENDCO, teachers and pastoral staff to ensure adequate student support.
• Build positive relationships to help students overcome barriers to learning.

Salary: £95.00-£110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? We're recruiting dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming secondary schools across Telford, supporting students to reach their full potential both academically and personally.

Whether you have previous school experience or have worked in care, youth work, support work or another SEND setting, we'd love to hear from you.

Your role will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other additional learning needs.
• Supporting students in accessing the curriculum by adapting activities to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive engagement within the classroom.
• Assisting students with communication, emotional regulation and social development throughout the school day.
• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Implementing strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where appropriate.
• Working closely with the school's SENDCO, teachers and pastoral team to ensure every student receives the support they need.
• Building positive relationships with students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and celebrate their achievements.
