SEN Teaching Assistant role in Hackney

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs to achieve their full potential?

We are looking for an experienced and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Primary school on a long-term basis starting from January 2026. You will support children across all year groups on a 1:1 and group basis, building strong relationships with children and working alongside experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including, Autism, ADHD, Complex Behaviour, and SEMH needs.
  • Use effective approaches to resolving conflict and promote positive behaviour to encourage a calm, safe learning environment.
  • Work with the class teacher, teaching assistants and wider inclusion team to deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and resilience in all pupils.
About You
  • Proven experience supporting children in a school or SEN setting
  • Qualified to at least Level 3 in a relevant Education or Childcare field.
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
