Classroom Support is assisting a large SEN school just outside of Ashford in recruiting Learning Support Assistants for the academic year. The role covers support for students across KS1–KS4 with various learning difficulties and SLD. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, follow IEPs, and help manage behaviour while working under the class teacher.
We offer rates of £90+ per day. An enhanced DBS on the update service is required, or a new one arranged for placement in local schools.
We are working with a large SEN school just outside of Ashford who are looking for experienced and qualified Learning Support Assistants to start throughout the academic year. The school is an independent, coeducational, day school which caters for students across Key Stages 1 – Key Stage 4 with EHC Plans of Social, Emotional, and Behavior difficulties and a range of Learning Difficulties including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
Your key duties as a Learning Support Assistant will be to:
It is essential that you have previous experience supporting Children or Adults with SEN or Learning Difficulties, or have worked in the Care Sector, and must be capable to help children with their work who need extra academic support.
The school is set in a beautiful rural site of Ashford and is housed in a range of buildings, from converted farm buildings to award winning buildings of four large newly built classrooms. Students use the site for sports events, archaeological digs and ecology studies as well as being given the opportunity to grow fruit and vegetables and take part in vocational studies with the workshops and kitchen spaces.
You will be rewarded with excellent rates of pay of £90+ per day.
You will need an enhanced DBS on the update service, if you do not have one you would need to arrange for a new one for us to be able to place you in a local school.
