Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind is currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a SEN School based in Wirral. The school caters to 80 students at KS3 and KS4, all with medical needs, often involving mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, or chronic fatigue syndrome.

The role is immediate and long-term, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The SEN Teaching Assistant will work within the Maths and Science departments.

The ideal candidate would have a SEN qualification or experience working in a similar setting.

Requirements:

• Previous school experience and familiarity with the SIMS system
• Committed and professional attitude
• Organised, enthusiastic, and proactive
• Child workforce enhanced DBS certificate (on the update service) or willingness to apply (costs refunded after 20 days of work)
• Satisfactory references
• A CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any gaps
• Legal right to work in the UK
