Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Spilsby, Lincolnshire. The role runs Monday to Friday, supporting students with SEND/SEMH and helping them achieve their full potential.

You will work closely with teachers to provide 1:1 or small-group support, fostering a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday.
• Comfortable in a specialist SEN school environment.
• Patient, compassionate and resilient with SEND/SEMH support.
• Experience in SEN settings or care/support is desirable.
• Relevant safeguarding training or DBS knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEND/SEMH.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and managing learning tasks.
• Support safeguarding, behaviour and learning routines to create a safe, engaging environment.

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Spilsby, Lincolnshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is available to work Monday to Friday and is passionate about supporting students to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

No two days will be the same! You may be providing one-to-one support, working with small groups or assisting students within the classroom. You will play an important role in creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Is available to work Monday to Friday
• Is comfortable working within a specialist SEN school environment
• Is confident supporting children and young people with a range of SEND and SEMH needs
• Is patient, compassionate and resilient
• Can build strong and positive relationships with students
• Is adaptable and able to respond positively to different situations and challenges

Previous experience working within an SEN school or similar setting would be highly desirable. However, we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience in Care or Support Work, who are looking to transfer their skills into education.

Relevant qualifications or training are also a significant advantage!
