GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Broughton, Lincolnshire. This is a full-time role with potential to progress into a permanent position and make a real difference in pupils' lives.

You will support students with a range of SEN and SEMH needs, building positive relationships and providing calm, patient, consistent support in a hands-on educational setting. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications or training would also be a significant advantage.

GSL Education is looking for a dedicated, resilient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Broughton. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity, with the potential for the successful candidate to progress into a permanent position.

The Role

You will be supporting children and young people of all ages within a specialist SEN school environment. The students have a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, making this a varied, rewarding and hands-on role.

Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities to make a positive impact. You will need to be confident, adaptable and able to build strong, positive relationships with students who may require additional emotional and behavioural support.

  • Available to work full-time
  • Patient, resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Confident supporting children and young people with a range of SEN and SEMH needs
  • Comfortable working with students of different ages
  • Able to build strong and positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Adaptable, proactive and ready to take on a rewarding challenge
  • Interested in developing their career within a specialist education setting

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs is highly desirable. Relevant qualifications or training would also be a significant advantage.

This role would particularly suit someone with a calm, confident and positive approach, who is able to provide consistent support and act as a strong role model for students.
