Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a specialist SEND setting in Coventry seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for day-to-day and long-term opportunities with an immediate start.

You will support pupils across mixed ages who have PMLD, SLD and SEMH needs, providing individual and classroom support, and adapting your approach to meet a range of complex needs. The role offers PAYE pay at £95-£115 per day.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Coventry supporting pupils of mixed ages with a range of additional needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties / PMLD, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The setting provides a supportive and structured environment where pupils receive personalised support to help them engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The setting is looking to appoint SEND Teaching Assistants for day-to-day and long-term opportunities, with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils across different age groups, provide individual and classroom support and adapt their approach to meet a range of complex SEND needs.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD and/or SEMH
• Confidence supporting pupils with complex additional needs
• Experience working across different age groups
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
