Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a primary school in Redditch to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team. The school is looking for a supportive and enthusiastic individual who can help pupils feel confident, engaged and included within the classroom.

The successful candidate will support Year 6 pupils with EHCP plans and provide targeted assistance alongside general classroom support, on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs and EHCP plans.
• Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
• TA qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

Salary: £95 - £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school in Redditch who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 / KS2 team. The school is looking for a supportive and enthusiastic individual who can help pupils feel confident, engaged and included within the classroom.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will primarily support children in Year 6 with EHCP plans, providing targeted support to meet their individual needs, alongside general classroom support when required.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience supporting children with additional needs and EHCP plans
• Experience working with children within a primary school setting
• A good understanding of Key Stage 2 / KS2 and the needs of Year 6 pupils
• A patient, positive and supportive approach
• The ability to work effectively with the class teacher and wider school team
