Job summary

The Education Specialists (TES) are currently recruiting on behalf of Fairfield House School in Trafford for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant / HLTA to join their team.

This is a long-term, full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, offering competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist learning, build positive relationships and help manage behaviour in a supportive SEN setting.

Qualifications

• DBS check required and must be seen prior to placement.
• Teaching roles require QTS or equivalent or demonstrable experience in SEN settings.
• Experience supporting children or young people in SEN environments is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Support pupils with their learning and development
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Encourage independence and confidence
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs

What will you be doing?

As a SEN TA / HLTA, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils to access learning, develop their confidence and achieve their individual goals.

Experience in a specialist school, mainstream school, alternative provision, residential setting or other SEN environment would be highly beneficial.
