Job summary

Education Matters Group in Twickenham is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher for a Full Time, Monday–Friday, long-term position. The role offers £180–£250 per day and starts ASAP, with a supportive, well-resourced school environment.

You will deliver tailored lessons to pupils with severe and complex SEN, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and help pupils develop communication and life skills in a nurturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with severe and complex SEN.
• Calm, patient, resilient and empathetic approach to behaviour, communication and learning.
• QTS or relevant teaching qualifications preferred, though SEN experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly tailored, engaging lessons to small groups of pupils with severe and complex SEN.
• Support children with severe learning difficulties and complex additional needs.
• Create a calm, structured, positive and nurturing environment where every learner can feel safe and supported.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to support individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Adapt teaching, communication and behaviour strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
• Support pupils with developing communication, independence, social and life skills.
• Monitor progress and contribute to individualised learning and support plans.
