Five Education is seeking a SEND Teacher (PMLD) for a Bristol specialist school to deliver highly personalised learning for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties across primary and secondary ages.

You will plan engaging, sensory-rich lessons, work with therapists, families and external professionals to ensure pupils receive a high-quality educational experience and support. A QTS and SEND experience are essential, with a competitive MPS/UPS salary and immediate start.

SEND Teacher - Specialist School

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated and highly motivated SEND Teacher to join a specialist school in Bristol supporting children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) across both primary and secondary age ranges.

The Role

You will be responsible for planning and delivering highly personalised learning programmes that meet the individual needs of pupils with PMLD. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will create engaging, sensory-rich learning experiences that support communication, independence, wellbeing and life skills.

You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the highest quality educational experience and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEND.

  • Is creative, patient and adaptable.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Essential Criteria
  • Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30
  • Right to work in the UK - we CANNOT accept sponsorship or a skilled worker visa
  • Minimum two recent references, covering the last two years
  • Up-to-date DBS/police check, or be willing to obtain one
  • Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.
