Job summary

Polaris Education - Becker School in Batley seeks a dedicated SEN Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, addressing ASC & SEMH needs and supporting a safe, inclusive classroom.

You will collaborate with the school team, report pupil progress, oversee activities and trips, and contribute to a positive learning environment. A QTS and SEND experience are essential, with commitment to DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Degree level qualification required.
• Previous successful teaching experience, preferably KS1/KS2.
• Some experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum while meeting ASC & SEMH needs.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
• Report on pupils' progress and liaise with staff to meet needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and trips.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and drive positive learning outcomes.
