Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher for Hemlock Stone School in Stapleford. You will craft engaging, personalised learning experiences for pupils with autism and complex needs, building confidence and independence.

You’ll work with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families to monitor progress, adapt approaches, and promote inclusive learning. QTS or equivalent is required; experience in SEN is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Experience in SEN, Autism, SEMH or specialist education desirable but not essential.
• IT or Music qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, tailored lessons for pupils with diverse learning needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom where every pupil can succeed.
• Adapt teaching strategies to overcome barriers to learning and maximise progress.
• Develop personalised learning plans and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and external professionals.
• Promote positive behaviour through consistency and relationships.
• Celebrate pupil achievements and help build confidence, independence and resilience.
• Contribute to a school culture that puts pupils at the heart of everything it does.
