Job summary

Hemlock Stone School is seeking an ambitious Assistant Headteacher to join the Senior Leadership Team, leading strategy for achievement, assessments, qualifications, and careers. You will drive improvements in student progress, attainment, and destination outcomes, and develop a robust careers and employability program that prepares students for life beyond school.

You will embed careers education across the curriculum, use data to identify priorities, and raise standards.

Who We're Looking For

We seek an inspirational educational leader who combines strategic thinking with a genuine commitment to helping young people thrive. If you have:

• Significant teaching and leadership experience within education.
• A proven track record of driving improvement and raising outcomes.
• Strong expertise in assessment, data analysis, and school improvement.
• Experience supporting students with SEND, including SEMH, Autism, and complex needs.
• A sound understanding of EHCPs, the SEND Code of Practice, and inclusion strategies.
