Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for a specialist school in Sutton. You will plan and deliver highly personalised, differentiated lessons for students aged 2 to 19 with ASD, SEMH, and complex learning needs.

A nurturing environment will support academic, social and personal development. The successful candidate will work with Teaching Assistants and therapists to implement EHCP outcomes, adapt teaching strategies and monitor progress, maintaining high expectations and strong parent

Qualifications

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with children/young people with SEND.
Experience supporting students with ASD/SEMH/complex needs is desirable.
Strong understanding of personalised and differentiated teaching.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
Adapt teaching for students with ASD, SEMH, MSI, PD, MLD, SLD and PMLD.
Develop personalised learning programmes based on EHCP outcomes.
Use creative, sensory and practical teaching approaches to engage learners.
Monitor, assess and record student progress, identifying next steps.
Collaborate with therapists and multidisciplinary professionals to meet wider student needs.
