Job summary

EmpowerED are partnering with a Berkshire SEN school opening a new provision to support pupils with complex and behavioural needs. The SEN Teacher will lead a small class, delivering differentiated lessons and contributing to a development-focused program.

The role requires a calm, nurturing teaching style, QTS or equivalent, and experience in specialist settings. You will benefit from a supportive leadership team and dedicated PPA time.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience supporting children with complex SEND as a SEN teacher in a provision.
• Strong knowledge and practical use of communication systems (PECS, Makaton, AAC).
• Experience delivering continuous provision approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small class of pupils with complex SEN and deliver highly differentiated lessons.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning with allocated PPA time.
• Support pupils who may present with challenging behaviour in a calm, nurturing environment.
