Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an SEN Teacher for a specialist school in Moseley, Birmingham. You will deliver highly personalised lessons for students with complex SEND aged 2-19, including Autism, SLD and PMLD, in a welcoming, multidisciplinary environment.

Working with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals, you will implement EHCP outcomes, promote independence and support students to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• QTS required and experience teaching students with complex SEND (Autism, SLD, PMLD)
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet a wide range of abilities
• Experience working with support staff to meet education, physical and personal care needs
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting wellbeing and independence of students

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, highly personalised lessons for students with complex SEND
• Work with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals
• Implement EHCP outcomes and promote independence
• Support students with communication, sensory regulation and daily living skills
