Job summary

Polaris Education - Martha H School in Wigan, Lancashire, is seeking a SEN Teacher. The role is full-time, term-time only, 37.5 hours per week, with salary £28,000 - £39,520 depending on experience.

You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons for pupils aged 5-16 with ASC and SEMH needs, support the class team, monitor progress, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment. QTS and KS3 experience with SEND are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Secondary qualification and KS3 teaching experience is needed.
• Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the National Curriculum for pupils with ASC & SEMH needs.
• Support the class team to facilitate learning and promote positive behaviours.
• Report on pupil progress and liaise with staff to meet needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time and trips.
• Build positive relationships to drive engagement and outcomes.
