TimePlan Education Group is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher for an Alternative Provision in The Wirral. Roles are immediate, with flexible full-time or part-time, long-term or short-term placements.

You will deliver differentiated lessons for students aged 11-16 with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviour, ensuring a calm, engaging classroom environment. The position offers a clear pathway within a national academy trust, smaller classes, and a supportive pastoral framework.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching students with SEN, SEMH or challenging behaviour.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Engaging, adaptable and proactive teaching style.
• Resilience, patience and excellent relationship-building skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach students with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Establish clear boundaries and maintain strong classroom behaviour management.
• Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and participation.
• Build positive relationships, trust and rapport with students.
• Adapt teaching approaches to support different learning styles and abilities.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and wider pastoral teams.
