Job summary

Education Network is working with a welcoming specialist school in Atherstone, West Midlands, to recruit a passionate SEN Teacher with QTS for KS2 or KS3 classes.

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity within a specialist setting? This is a fantastic opportunity for a QTS teacher with either primary or secondary teaching experience. You will teach either a Key Stage 2 or Key Stage 3 class, working with pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and adapting the curriculum to ensure learning is accessible, engaging and meaningful.

The Role

• Teach either a KS2 or KS3 class of pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs and abilities
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
• Create a structured, positive and engaging classroom environment
• Work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to individual learning plans and EHCP outcomes
• Promote independence, confidence and positive attitudes towards learning

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Primary or secondary teaching experience
• A genuine passion for working with children with SEN
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• The ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, creative and positive approach
• Previous special school or SEN experience would be advantageous but is not essential
