Job description

How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four?

Our colleagues' wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we're always looking for new ways to improve everyone's work/life balance. We're taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).

4DWW will be rolled out within our school, when we have a full complement of staff, and within the next year - so there's never been a more exciting time to join us!

About the role

We are looking for an SEN Teacher for our Meadows View School in Stamford, Lincolnshire.

  • SEN Teacher
  • Location: Meadows View School, Stamford, PE9 2JL
  • Salary: Up to GBP38,000 per annum, depending on experience (not pro rata)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm
  • Type: Permanent, Term Time only

Note: UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.

About the role

As an SEN Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils' achievement and ability to develop.

This is a great opportunity for a SEN Teacher who is keen to develop creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding, and you will be working in a school where safeguarding is a priority, with pupils who are listened to, respected, and involved in decisions.

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teacher with a background in teaching a range of subjects and a shared vision to empower vulnerable young people to build their futures.

The successful candidate must be familiar with and comfortable adopting a therapeutic approach to teaching and working with SEN/SEMH/Autistic pupils. You should be calm, engaging, resilient, and innovative, motivated by helping every pupil reach their potential.

Requirements
  • Previous experience teaching in an SEN school or working with pupils with complex needs.
  • Ability to plan fun and engaging sessions.
  • UK QTS or equivalent qualification.
