You will be joining a school with a palpable community feel where every staff member is valued and plays a crucial role in pupil success.

The Role

As a Long-Term Temporary SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the specific needs (e.g., PMLD, complex needs, autism) and learning styles of a small class group across the 2-19 age range.

  • Develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress rigorously against personalised targets.

  • Utilise your expertise in positive behaviour support strategies to maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where all pupils can achieve.

  • Work closely with a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants and support staff, directing their work effectively to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

  • Collaborate with external agencies, parents/carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team (e.g., therapists) to provide holistic support.
