Job Title: SEN Teacher

As an SEN Teacher, you will create a positive and safe learning environment for pupils and promote positive relationships between peers. You should be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative teaching style, motivated by helping every pupil reach their potential. Collaboration with the SLT to maintain high standards of teaching and learning is essential. You may also lead on curriculum areas and contribute to a lively, stimulating environment. We seek individuals who share our vision to build futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and independent.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure a capable learning environment where pupils thrive and their needs are met.
  2. Deliver high-quality teaching through effective resource use and planning.
  3. Organise personalised, differentiated learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  4. Plan, track, evaluate, assess, and report on pupils' teaching and learning progress.
  5. Write and update Individual Outcomes.
  6. Supervise, develop, and manage Teaching Assistants relevant to their roles.
  7. Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as appropriate.
Key Skills Required:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English and Maths at a good or outstanding level.
  • Primary Teacher with experience in Teaching EYFS, Years 1-4.

Bestwood Village School is a new establishment in Nottingham, opening in September 2024, with a capacity of 30 pupils.
